Andrews County residents have access to quality healthcare services with state-of-the art technology and specialized individual care.  Andrews’ facilities rank among the best in quality rural health care in physicians, surgeons, dentists, and optometrists. 

Permian Regional Medical Center (PRMC), opened in 1962, is considered one of the best hospitals in the Permian Basin and accommodates patients from surrounding West Texas and eastern New Mexico. Permian Regional Medical Center, located at 720 Hospital Drive, continually upgrades technology to provide the latest health care advances while keeping its hometown appeal. Quality of care and qualified staff are terms, which have become synonymous with the facility. Permian Regional Medical Center consists of an 49-bed acute care facility which maintains the high standards set by JCAHO; a 90-bed long-term care facility; a Rural Health Clinic with three physicians and two nurse practitioners, an active Home Health, Physical Therapy services, a full-service Lab and digital Radiology department which offers CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammogram services and an obstetric / LDRP unit performing 400 deliveries annually. We are also proud to note that we have an ICU/CCU department as well as an Emergency Department that maintains a Level IV Trauma designation. For the convenience of their patients, PRMC has also opened an “Express Care” clinic that is operated in conjunction with our emergency department which is staffed by qualified physicians 24 hours a day.

Nursing Center

     Permian Residential Care Center (PRCC)

Permian Residential Care Center is a 90-bed assisted living & nursing center adjacent to Permian Regional Medical Center. PRCC has numerous quality amenities, a full range of services, including cardiopulmonary, laboratory, physical therapy and X-ray, as well as other ancillary services of Permian Regional Medical Center.  The 12 primary care and specialized physicians, 145 nurses, and caring individuals in administration all take to heart in “Treating Patients like Family” while providing quality care, at a cost-effective price. This lovely facility is already almost full and plans are being made for the construction of a 24-bed Assisted Living facility as well. These initiatives will ensure quality, long-term care in Andrews for decades to come.

Andrews residents also benefit from area businesses that offer comprehensive health and wellness treatment, as well as specialty services that include private assisted living care in a home environment, chiropractic care, massage therapy, and fitness centers.  Medical emergency services within the community include a 911 system, ambulance services, and emergency transport.  In addition to our community, some of the finest physicians and hospitals in West Texas are located in nearby Odessa and Midland.  Assurance and comfort of getting the best quality healthcare go hand in hand in Andrews, Texas.
